Ahhhhh I love this! I just finished my first afghan EVER and it happened to be an American Flag [[link] which I just linked. Your's is MUCH prettier than mine is. T__T I'm jealous! Mine took me about 4 months to make, and I still have to sew on my stars.

^{thanks! yes, it did take a lot of time - especially since i had to start those stripes a few times before i got the gauge right. XD I have to make another one, but i'm not in a hurry to do so....

i think i started it in like....end of august/early september and finished about two/three weeks before christmas... if i were more focused on it and got the stripes right the first time i probably could have gotten it done in two months. that might seem like forever to a younger person, but when you're older, time seems to go much faster. XD}

eh, i learned when i was in like middle school - my older sister taught me. i tried to do it for a while but i messed everything up. it's only over the last year or so i started doing it again. luckily, i got better at it! i want to learn how to knit, but the whole needle-having-no-hook-end bothers me. i'd keep dropping stitches! XD

one of the good things about chrocheting regularly is that it helps build up the strength in your left hand. which is better for chording on the guitar

Okay, now I'm pretty certain my mom would love you.

She knew how to knit, crochet, sew, etc since she was a girl. She wants to pass down her knowledge to someone.

You play guitar? Kewlz! I always wanted to play the guitar!;____; I actually wanna know how to play everything, but the guitar is first on the list.

well, i can't sew (but i make cross-stitch sometimes), and i tried learning to knit and FAILED, epicly, so maybe not. XD

yeah, the guitar is awesome. i only have an acoustic, i'd like to get an electric and some cool pedals someday.....

lol! hmmm, i dunno how long they would put up with that. we once had a kid come over and set up his drum kit and got no calls to the police, but maybe with repeated exposure.... XD
